Does Apple Care cover cracked Iphone 4 screens?
Dropped my phone and now I have a huge crack in the top right corner. My phone is still under warranty so will they replace it? If not, what are my other options? I found that if it is within warranty, you should be able to just go up there and they replace the screen on the spot at the Genius bar for free and send you on your way… Is this true?
If your iPhone is damaged, it will not be covered under the warranty. The warranty only covers manufactureres defects ( like if your phone wa dying halfway through the battery life ). If you have insurance, it will cover the cracked screen, however, the deductable is expensive. If I were you, I would seek out an iphone repair shop (most of them are kiosks in the mall, or you can check craigslist) and they can replace just the glass for relatively cheap. Also, you can order new iphone glass online, watch a youtube tutorial on how to change iphone glass and do it yourself! Hope this helps!
If you have insurance against damage, then it should cover a cracked/broken screen. They should be able to replace a broken screen very easily and quickly; it's not much different than plugging a monitor into your computer.
If you have the warrenty then, yes.
- Will car insurance cover stolen good, while it was under their care? I had an accident, State Farm towed it to some salvage yard, got it back, camera, registration, spare tire, iPhone charger, battery pack, limited edition pocket knife all gone! Change jar cleaned out, and EZ pass used. I called State Farm, and they are closed. I'm so vexed right now.
- Why does everyone I know with iphones have cracked screens? ? DROID > iphone. I have had so many people try to convince me that iphones are better, but I love my droid too much, lol. I used to be an apple snob, but iphones are overrated.
- If I use my Apple Care to get a new iPhone can I repurchase Apple Care again? I figure that because they will usually replace your troubled phone with a refurbished one you should be able to, but if anyone could weigh in on their knowledge or experiences I would appreciate it.
- Does the factory apple warranty cover a cracked screen? I recently cracked my iphone 5 LCD screen, and I'm wondering does the apple factory warranty cover it? If not what options do I have with apple, I don't want to pay $300 + for aftermarket repairs. Please and Thank you for all your help.
