Why does everyone I know with iphones have cracked screens?

I have had so many people try to convince me that iphones are better, but I love my droid too much, lol. I used to be an apple snob, but iphones are overrated.

Most people i know with iPhones don't have cracked screens, but for those that do, it is usually just a chip in the corner. The actual screen is made out of a material that isn't very strong, which was improved in the new iPhone 5. Also iPhones have a fairly large screen, and are subject to more surface area coverage. Also when covers don't cover the front of the case they may crack easier

Because they're really fragile and if you don't have a case on it it's bound to break because one little drop and that's all it takes. I think it might be because the rim of the phone isn't thick.

Me too! Everyone I know that has one (well not everyone) has cracked screens.

I think the glass is cheap hence why it breaks easily.

I have the first Samsung Galaxy s1 and as many times as my phone fell, it's never cracked. I need an upgrade to the s4 lol.

I remember the Nokia phones were indestructible. You could throw that thing into a volcano and you still have a phone lmao

Nowadays the phones are made like glass. One time is all it takes. I love my phone though and luckily I haven't dropped it yet.

Apple know that the majority of their customers are Extremely loyal.
And by loyal, I mean stupid.
Which means that if they sell a cheaply made phone for $1000 then people will come back and buy a new one as soon as it breaks.
If they made their phones more durable then they'd make less sales and have more expenses.

I guess I'm lucky because as many times as mine has fallen on the concrete and linoleum floors and yet the screen is perfect…
