Does cutting a regular sim to a nano sim really work?
If I have someone off of craigslist cut my regular (mini-sim) sim card to fit in the iphone 5c will it actually work? How much of a chance is it that my sim card will be destroyed? Would my phone company replece my sim? How does cutting the sim actually work? Isn't the edges open then?

It does actually work. I have myself tried cutting a regular sim to a nano sim and it worked just fine.
Yes, it will work just fine. You can always do it yourself too. You just have to buy that thing from eBay for about $10.
Worked fine for me the 2 times I've done it. There are nanoSIM cutters available if you'd rather use that.

- Will an unlocked iphone 5 work with any nano SIM card? My friend is selling me her iphone 5. It's factory unlocked from verison, but she was on tmoblie service. I use straight talk and you can bring your own phone, you just have to buy the nano sim. I bought a tmobile compatible nano sim, assuming since she was on tmoblie service, she bought it from them. Should this be a problem or is this okay?
