Does having 4G LTE use up more data?

I just got the iPhone 6 today & i used to have 4G on my last iPhone 4s (I have AT&Th
So I was just wondering what exactly is 4G LTE & will it use up more data than the regular 4G?

Generally 4G and LTE mean the same thing. My understanding is that in the past some US carriers have marketed HSPA+ as 4G but generally LTE is 4G. Now, 4g LTE is a faster type of connection that generally allows faster mobile internet speeds than 3G. Because it will download things faster you may use more internet because you will be able to download more webpages etc in the same time frame. If you however go to the same amount webpages, send the same amount emails etc you won't use more data

  • More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
  • Does LTE use more data than 3G? I've already reached my data limit. This has happened in the past but not this quickly, I've noticed on the top left corner of my iPhone it says "Verizon LTE" if I disable that it will say "Verizon 3G" will I not use all of my data so quickly if I disable LTE and use 3G?
  • How much more data does the iPhone 5 use than the iPhone 4 & 4S? I'm considering switching from my old phone to iPhone 5 and I need to know how much more data I would be using. Also if anyone knows how much a month the data would cost for an iPhone 5 that would be helpful. (I use ATT&T) Also any opinions about iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5 just so I can compare the two
