Does Vizio smart TV have a web browser?

I was told at best buy that the vizio e-series smart TV had a build in web browser but i don't see one.

I can't say for certain on the brand new models… But Vizio has NOT been including a web-browser in their smart TV's through 2012. I believe they have plans to start (or have already started) putting a google chrome version on their Co-Star - smart TV upgrader… But I think it's still missing from the TV's.

To the other answerer that said all Smart Tv's have to have a browser to be Smart… You would be mistaken.

Smart TV simply means a TV that is capable of an internet connection and running apps. There's no guideline as to what those apps are… Or what those apps have to do. They're have been many manufacturers who have given the "Smart" label to products that could only access NetFlix or WeatherBug. The Apps for Smart TV's are not like Apps for Iphone, Android, etc… In that many of them are proprietary and are manufacturer specific… And even model specific.

Check the actual model of the one your looking at to see what apps are available for it… And if you don;t see it on the TV or in the App store you access from the screen… It's probably not available for it. They do - but they are NOT Chrome, Firefox, etc. They are very limited and only useful for going to a specific site like ESPN to watch some game that is on-line only. You do not want one. The TV just does not have enough built in memory to process web browsing, which is why web tv in the 90s came and died, just use your computer
