Dropped iPhone4s in water, now speaker not working?
Before I start please no body say 'its your fault for taking it in the bath' cause I know it is.
Anyway my iPhone slipped from the side of the bath into the actual bath, I caught it as fast as I could and I chucked it back on the side of the bath. It was probably under the water for about 2 seconds. When I eventually told myself what had happened, I picked up my phone and switched it off. I then dried it with a towel and took the case off the back to dry the back aswell. I did turn my phone back on to see if it was working and it was apart from the speakers.
I left my phone turned off and in a tin of rice over night, I've turned it back on and everything seems to be working fine apart from the speakers at the bottom because literally no sound is coming out of them? Also the speaker where you can hear people speaking on the phone isn't working. I can still listen to music if I have my headphones in but that's it.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to tell my parents cause they will go mad! Does anybody know how much it costs to go to the store to get it fixed and how long it takes?
Or is there any kits where you can do this yourself at home?
- IPhone sounds play from ear speaker, not bottom speaker? Every so often, when I double click the home button, scroll over to the volume level, there's a little symbol for air play. When selected, I can play sounds from either the I phones ear speaker or the bottom (louder) speaker. However, this seems to go in and out and most of the time the air play icon isn't there. How do I fix this?

- Iphone 4s dropped in water- speaker not working Dropped my 4S in water for like 4 seconds and put it in a bag of rice overnight. Alarm, calls, and headphones all make sound and work. The speaker, for the ringer and music does not work. I have charged it a bit. Any way to fix this or will it just work one day? Any help is thanked.
- I dropped my iphone4s into water and i need to know my options? I don't really know what to do next but i know i need a new iphone 4s. I'm.new to apple so i need some help. Can i get a new one at walmart do i have to go to att. I'm. On a prepajd service plan with att so i just need the phone with no contract. What do you suggest. Any ideas?
