Dropped My iphone 5 in water bowl bit still working?
I dropped it 24 hours ago… It was in a deep bowl for 10 seconds… I took it out and dried it and it was still on (I didn't know i had to switch it off immediatly) so i checked it it was still working
I checked my mail and fb and it was great just no spund i googled (using the phone) how to deal with this situation and I read about the rice… I put it in a tight container… But i have zero patience i took it out a couple of times to check if it was still working (and it was) i left it in the rice for 6 hours
And in the morning I charged it with no issues
Am i safe? It is working great
Did i get lucky? Or will something happen. To it in the next few days?
Added (1). I keep reading I should keep it in the rice for 1 week
But do i really need to? I can't be away from my phone this much
Put it in rice for 1 week. TURN IT THE **** OFF AND GO DO IT NOW BEFORE IT TURNS INTO A PIECE OF JUNK
No need to lose your temper (James Fletcher) I think you need help your self, no need to be an ***. And know you do not need to keep your phone in rice for a whole week, what you did was fine if you say it is all working brilliant then it should stay that way and you are one lucky person because a lot of people lose their Iphones and Phones to water. However if you are still worried about you phone you can take it in to your local phone store to be checked out to make sure it is 100% okay. It will not coast you much to be looked at around $50 - $60 I think.
- What is the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit in the iPhone 5S? I was wondering what is 64 bit and why does it matter on an iPhone? What makes it different than the iPhone 5 or any other smartphone right now, and should we really care?
- My son dropped my iphone 5s in the dog bowl what's the best way to dry it out? I have removed the back and dried it the best i could with a kitchen cloth it still works but the screen goes fuzzy after a few seconds i have it in a box of rice atm and intend to leave it there for a day or so any other advice?
- My iPhone 5s got wet but it still working. But the touch screen is a bit slow. Is it safe to use? I dropped my phone in water but pulled it out immediately. I powered it down, dried it off, and let it sit for 30 or so minutes. At first the screen was red but then turned on and everything works. The touch sometimes is unresponsive. Is it safe to use my phone? I'm letting it air dry by a window because rice can cause erosion… Should I use it?
- My iPhone 5 has water in the screen. Only a little bit though? I put my iPhone on the bench for a few minutes and I did not realise there was water on it. Unfortunately, there's now only a little bit of water. I put the iPhone into a bag of rice and now IIm waiting for it. IIm just wondering how long it will take to get the water out because I need it tomorrow.
