Dropped my iPhone into water and it's still working, do I need to worry?

I dropped my iPhone 6S in about 2 inches of water earlier today. I pulled it out within 3 seconds and immediately turned it off and put it in a bowl of rice. I just turned it on and it works perfectly fine. The speakers sound normal, the charging port works, the headphone jack works, and there's no physical water damage. I took out the SIM tray to check if the water sensor was red (indicating water damage) and it was white like it should be.
Is the water sensor a full indicator of water damage, or is it possible that there's damage even if it's white?
Should I take it into Apple so they can check for water damage?

All the liquid indicators do, it tell you that the sticker did or did not come in contact with liquid, not that there's no water/liquid damage.

Damage comes in the form of shorting out while powered or corrosion.

There's Never a reason to worry ---
all worrying does is make you worried.

Either the thing still works or it doesn't.
If it works, don't worry.

  • I dropped my iphone in water and the touch screen isn't working? I accidentally dropped my iphone 5 into water but it was only there for a second- i grabbed it out right away. Now the screen will turn on but the touch screen isn't working. So i can't unlock it or power it off all the way. I know i should put it in a bag of rice but i'm in a hotel in a foreign country and i don't have any and there's no grocery stores nearby. What do i do?
