Ebay seller threatening to call the police?

I bought an iphone off ebay which was stuck in recovery loop. But when I took the phone to apple, they said it was water damaged.

I raised a case and ebay refunded me. However the seller got my number and started saying to me accusing me of opening the phone.

He's saying I opened the phone and there are parts missing. But I haven't done anything of the sorts. As soon as apple told me it was water damaged, I raised the case to get it returned because I don't want to risk opening this myself.

But he's still accusing me no matter what I say. I'm genuinely worried now. I know I shouldn't be because I'm not in the wrong, but it's worrying me a lot now.

He's threatened to call the police and I'm worried. I know i shouldn't be because in not in the wrong. But I can't help it because I've never been in a situation involved with the police. Ever

What should I do. My feedback speaks for itself and I have returned many items before for damaged/faulty items and no one has ever complained.

I don't believe the seller has a case. Most of your feedbacks will show how you treat others. Most ebayers have a few bad feedbacks, but numbers prove what you are.

Cut off all contact with the seller. Immediately. EBay buyer protection doesn't work if you stay in contact with the seller. Say nothing, do nothing, do not respond to anything, except report to ebay that the seller is harassing you and what can they do to make it stop.

It's not a police matter, as he sent you the phone, the coppers will either charge the guy with wasting police time or tell him to sod off. If the guy has a claim he'll take it to the small claims court. However harassment is criminal, if this person doesn't stop his antics after you've told him not to contact you report him to the police.

You have done anything wrong so you have nothing to worry about. You have a genuine credible story so you have nothing to loose sleep about.

Just ignore the seller or sell them a final stern message saying your done and if they continue to give you harassment you will report them.

L was with you up to the last sentence where you said you returned many things. L purchased over 175 things and returned zero, that does not mean that l have been taken several times but we worked it out. Sorry but l believe the seller and l would try to get you blackballed from ebay and you have a good reason to worry because l know of a person who was arrested because it happened in my town for selling something on ebay and sent the person a picture of what he bought, not the item…
