Effects of never going outside?

Well is there any bad effect if you rarely leave your house (he! I don't even go out of my bedroom unless using bathroom/shower or getting food which I eat in my bedroom )well only time I go outside is during school but I never see the sunlight cause we were always inside and since I live in MI there was mostly no sunlight always snowed. And well now it's summer and my last day of school was June 12th but since then I haven't left my house and my room is always dark (when I did go outside it was after dark and only stayed outside for 5 min) I don't do anything physical i'm always on my iPhone.I'm 16 will there be any bad effect?

Back in the day people would get rickets from not going outside and getting enough sunlight. Like previous poster said vitamin D. My question is why are you not wondering why are you so reclusive?

You could become severely depressed, no light or fresh air makes your skin an odd colour no vitamin D from the sun. Try going for a walk or just sit outside for an hour a day.

Well on the less severe side effects you get pale and social anxiety and even addicted to tv or i assume you watch tv or play video games while in your room but on the more severe effects is really bad depression, and depending on your activity level weight gain and so fworth so i would suggest maybe not being so focused on being in the sun but just having more social interaction for example go to the ymca or somthing like even stuff like bowling or skating just little stuff like that then increase from there by going to like a concert and stuff like that.
