Erase and sync Downloading music thorugh iTunes on new computer?
I previously was using itunes on our family computer. That computer is now clunky and old, and I have my own. My itunes account is linked to both my new computer and the old one and I have synced my iPhone with both many times, however, it wasn't until the new itunes update (11.1) that I have been able to figure out how to manually sync (an option I decided long ago that has caused me much grief throughout the years.) on the new laptop (since the old one still had the old version of itunes). However, since I have my iPhone synced with the old computer, it is asking me to "erase and sync" before I can start downloading from this new computer. Is there a way around this, and when it says erase, does that only refer to music, or everything (pictures, apps, etc.)
Just did it myself. It's music only. None of your apps are affected.

When I open itunes it gives me the option to "setup as new iPhone" or "restore from previous iPod" Will clicking "setup as new iPhone" delete all of my music from iTunes? Because I really don't want to click restore from old ipod because i don't want All the music and apps that I had on my ipod.
