Erase stolen iphone while studying abroad?
I'm currently studying abroad, and my phone was stolen from me. I had my cellular data turned off, so when I went to erase my iphone remotely from icloud it still says pending erase… If I change my apple id password will it still erase my lost iphone when/if it connects to Wi-Fi since the password would be changed?
The ipod/iphone isn't going to receive a delete request because there's no active data connection.
unless you have bt openzone login or it connects to the internet it won't reset at all.
sorry to hear about this.
best thing you could do is to reduce the value of the phone and place a temporary block on it from your network provider, they can see what the IMEI number was that had your sim in.
hope this helps J.
- Which camera should I bring? Studying abroad in London/Travelling Europe? I have these options: a DSLR Nikon camera, a Sony videocamera (small), or should I buy a digital camera? In addition, i'm bringing my iPhone 5s, which has pretty good quality as well. I'm just afraid I'll lose my DSLR, should I buy a digital camera or take the small videocamera? Suggestions? I will be studying for a semester in London and traveling to a few countries in Europe as well.
- What will erase and sync erase on my iphone? I wanted to connect my iphone to a new computer but it says erase and sync, what will it erase? All of the contents or just music?
- What to do with iPhone while travelling abroad? I'm going to Italy for vacation and I want to bring my iPhone without getting massive phone bills. I'm not gonna call or text but only use it for music, pictures and Wi-Fi. Am I safe if I just turn off data and put my phone on airplane mode?
- What is the cheapest way to use my iPhone while studying in France? I will be studying in France from February through June. I have an iPhone 4s and I'm currently using at&t. I've heard there's a way to buy a pre-paid sim card? The main reason I would like a cell phone while abroad is to communicate with friends in France. I plan on using Skype to talk to anyone in the US.
