Genius 2.1 sw-g2.1 1250 not working well hooked ip to Vizio TV via aux cable?

Hi I've got a problem with this speakers I got sounding "flat" when I hook them up to my tv. They sound great when I plug my iPhone in with them through my aux cable, but when I do the same process for my Tv, the speakers begin to sound very high pitched and deliver little to no bass at all. Perhaps the sound card or whatever in my tv is not correct for the speakers?

Keep in mind that most tv today only provides you with an optical audio output. This is a digital signal encoded mainly by Dolby Digital. You need a AVR or a home theather in a box with an optical audio input of a sound bar only. Most tv also does not provide you with an earphone jack. So how is the speaker connected to the tv? Some tv will have an adjustment for the sound in treble and bass. You can try making the adjustment and see if that work. Hope this will help you out.
