Get MacBook Air and iPhone, or keep Mac Mini and IPad and still get iphone?

I'm going into 10th grade, I have 2 options as it goes for computer setups.

I currently have a 2011 Mac Mini base, which still runs good and does everything I need it to, and I have a iPad 2, which does almost everything I need it to do when I'm out. I find it more practical to have the ipad then a laptop, but sometimes I miss having a laptop.

Here are my options:

1. Get rid of Mac Mini and iPad, buy a MacBook Air and iPhone, get rid of desk so I'll have more room in my room.

2. Get 2 new monitors and a new smaller more modern desk for my Mac Mini.

I can always just wait 3 more years and buy a MacBook Pro when I go to college.

Do you think I can stay with my current setup for 3 more years? I'll probably still get the iPhone within a few months.

Keep Mac mini and iPad and still get iPhone.

Macbook Air sucks it just like an iPad. Weak and can't run much program, if you plan to buy a Macbook buy a Macbook Pro 15''.

  • Which should I get, Apple ipad pro OR Macbook Air? I can't decide which I want, and which is the better option. I like the ipad pro (most likely the 12.9) because of the touch, pencil and the app store. I like the macbook air because its light, still integrates with my iphone, great battery life and the ability to run programs. This device won't be used for anything crazy. I still have a windows laptop thats used quite a bit. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  • What use is an ipad or ipad mini to someone with an iphone and macbook? I'm thinking of getting an ipad mini or ipad 2 for someone who already has an iphone 5 and macbook pro. I don't know how useful it will be since they are not likely to use it outside of their home and i'll be getting the non 3g version so it won't be much use when they take it out anyway.
  • Mac book air OR iphone5 + ipad? I have a choice of one or the other please help me don't have a clue which one to buy… please keep in mind that the new iphone may come out in a few months and i don't want an outdated gizmo
  • Is getting a ipad air worth it if you have the iphone 5 and MacBook Pro? I'm thinking of buying myself a ipad air for christmas but I already have the iphone 5 and MacBook Pro. Should I spend the money on something else or is the ipad a waste of money if I have those 2 gadgets? What's the point of the ipad?
