Going overseas, using iPhone 5 as camera: 32 or 64GB?
I'm going to buy an iPhone 5 outright which I will use as a phone, music player, photo/video camera etc. (essentially as an all-in-one device) for the next 2 years, including when I'm in France for 2 months on a mini-exchange program at the end of the year. My question is, will the 32GB model be enough or should I opt for the 64GB? I'll have access to my computer almost every night, so I can upload photos/videos if I need to - although this would be a major pain in the but. 32GB or 64GB - which do you recommend, and why?
Frankly I'd opt for getting a real camera. Better pictures, better resolution, more storage. You can get a good 14mp camera (iPhone 5 is only 8mp) for around $100 and can get a 32gb card for less than $20.
But since you're of the mind to get the iPhone, I'd go with the 64GB option. Simply because the memory in the iPhone is all the memory there's. That's shared between the iOS software, the pre-installed apps, as well as any videos, music, and other apps you install. All of these can take up your memory.
And if you're not careful the iTunes software may decide to take your left over space and fill it with random music leaving you with nothing to take the photos with. And it's next to impossible to delete music from the iPhone without having iTunes running and connected to the phone.
Hence why I suggest any serious photography be done with a real camera. Far less hassle and better results.
If you can, you should always get the 64GB. Its better to have more memory than not enough. And also when/if you decide to sell it later down the road, you would be able to sell it for more. And it also gives you bragging rights. Because majority of the people are going for the cheaper models. You can say i have the top of the line 64GB
Get the 64GB model. The 8MP pictures and 1080P video will burn through storage like no tomorrow.
- Which camera is better: An old General Imaging x500 Digital Camera or an iPhone 7 front camera? It looks like an iPhone only offers 7 MP while this camera boasts 16 MP but this camera is so old and looks worse at least on its own screen. I'm confused
- Is Iphone to Iphone texting free overseas with Imessage? So I have a friend who lives in the UK and I live in the US. He has an Iphone and I just got one. Can we text for free over Imessage? Will it cost money? And if I text him, is there a way to tell if its costing me? I really need help.
- IPhone suddenly not working overseas? I'm in Germany for 9 days and I bought the international service plan and so far(been here for four days) it has worked perfectly but yesterday we flew into Munich and it worked fine until i got to my room where it said searching for the whole night. The Wi-Fi from the hotel was bad in my room and i have Wi-Fi now and it says I have bars but where it should say the carrier it says nothing. What do I do?
- Iphone going overseas do not want to have large bill? Ok, so I'm going overseas later today. I have my Iphone however I do not want to get a big bill or have any charges, I just want to use my Iphone like an Ipod (to watch movies and listen to music etc). How should I do this so that I do not get any charges overseas?
