Good quality beginner camera?

Okay so i wanna start photography as a hobby since i have always enjoyed it, but taking pictures with an iphone camera can only get you so far. For christmas i wanna ask for a camera. Yes i know it's kinda early for that but i like to plan ahead or else when the time actually comes i don't know what i want. Anyway, since we're a big family, my parents budget for each child isn't much. This year my mom said the budget was about $50. So i've tried looking in to good cameras, but they are very expensive and complicated. I just want a cheap simple beginner GOOD QUALITY camera that is somewhere near the budget of $50-70 thanks in advance.

Here's a small comparison, in the less than $100 range

Surely, as the year counts down, prices will get more competitive,
maybe even falling a bit

  • Why is my iPhone 4s camera different quality to another iPhone 4s camera? My mum has a iPhone 4s like me and her iphone camera seems better than mine by Quite abit. My camera is kinda grainy and I was wondering if it's anything in the settings that can change this? It's not majorly bad quality but it's definitely different to other 4s cameras!
  • Why does my iPhone receive good quality videos as bad quality videos? So I recently met a famous guy in concert and when I got a picture wth him I was getting a video and my friend used her phone to video it. So she sent it to me and it was like terrible quality and the video was like little with a huge black border around it. But yet it looks perfectly fine on her phone? How do I fix it? Whenever I try to get video editing apps it always says error & only with that particular video. I have an iPhone 5c, and so does my friend.
