Having problems with my iphone 5?

I got my iphone 5 not too long ago, and i love it but i noticed some things that seem wrong. They advertise that it provides the best and better signal than before, but i find that out to be wrong. My iphone 4 shows a full signal (5 bars) and my white iphone 5 shows the LTE symbol (which i'm happy about) but shows 3 bars. Even when i switch to 3g on the 5 the signal is still weaker.could my iphone be defective? What should i do, and another thing is my apple earphones… The left earbud provides sound while the right earbud doesn't? I don't really care about the earphones have cheap *** ones that work with it.

I'm really sorry but I don't no what you could do about the signal the same thing happened with my mums iPhone 4s on the iPhone 4 it said full signal and on the iPhone 4s it said 2 bars we took it back and the gave us another one it worked fine. About the headphones the same thing happened to me it turns out that you have to change the accessibility settings not the brightness and sound there's like bar if you want to make both earphones work scroll it to the middle.

The reason that you are having this problem is because you are in a area not so close to a LTE or 3G tower, the reason also is the LTE and 3G are 2 separate towers sending your phone 2 different signals from 2 different towers, although they are 2 diferent towers the 2 different towers are equally the same amount of length away from you thats why its like that, also even if you don't have 3G most of the time it will still say that you do and when you don't have any coverage from your phone carrier it will show a single don't for raoming coverage, i know this won't help with your problem but at least you will know why it has been happening.
