Help IPHONE CONTACTS DISAPPEARED
I have an iphone 4 on 5.1 ios. - i have had ZERO problems with all my phones until today.
its jailbroken(note: i'm very technical and stuff so i know this isn't the issue).
i have never synced it to icloud, only ever manually managed music and have only ever used 'backup' for contacts, messages and stuff. The last backup was on 23rd feb 2013.
so it was about 4pm this afternoon i was leaving work, tried to open a text msg, but every time i tried the text msg app wouldn't open. It would just go back to home screen. So i restarted my springboard(jailbrake term) and went into msg's and noticed my the texts were from unknown numbers. I rebooted the whole phone and then went into contacts and noticed THEY WERE All GONE! After another 2 reboots no change.
i know i can restore from my last backup however i have put new contacts and such in the phone. Is there anyway i can just restore my phone without losing new data.
Please DO NOT TELL ME THIS HAS GOT DO WITH JAILBREAKING.
Added (1). NOTE: over MANY years now i have had different devices All jailbroken done myself. No issues whatsoever. Not slow, no turning on and off issues. All devices run as gold.

It doesn't matter what you have done "over MANY years"… Blah blah blah. That doesn't mean you don't have a problem with it.
- Whatsapp contacts - if they're onnm contacts am I on theirs? I have the phone number of an old friend stored on my iPhone and they also show on my whatsapp contact list… Does this mean that they still have my phone number stored in their phone and also have whatsapp installed on their phone? The chat thing says they haven't been seen since 28th sept? If they didn't have my number on their phone would they still show as one of my contacts on whatsapp?
- Need iphone help! (relating to facebook contacts)? OK so some how i chose that option to sync contacts to my phone and now everyone one of my facebook friends who put numbers on their profile got synced into my contacts. When i try to delete them it won't go away? Anyone know how to fix it?
- My contacts keep changing into my parent's contacts? I'm using my Dad's old iPhone 4, so it has all of his data. I cleared out everything that was his but I hate the part where each time my parent's add a new contact to their phone, everything syncs over to my contacts, so I'm scrolling down my list and see a new person I don't know but my parents do. Is there a way to change this?
- My contacts disappeared from my contact list on the iPhone 5s, randomly. How can I get them back? My contact list somehow erased when it was in my purse. The contacts are still there when I create a text message or search someone to text, but I can't dial out because the contacts from my contact list are gone. My iCloud is still on, so it's not that. Is there a way I can get them back?
