Hiding text messages on iPhone?
K. So I've been searching around and I'm stuck. I have a new girlfriend and I guess I did well when I was single, a couple girls still text me even if I tell them to stop. My new girlfriend gets pretty jealous and I share my phone with her because I have nothing to hide to help her. So I'm trying to find an app to filter the messages from these people. In plain English the messages won't show up when they come in or in my messages instead they get sent to a private folder so i can view and delete. It would just make this transition a lot easier. Is there anything like this? And if not can it be sent to someone to be made lol.
There's an app available for jailbroken iPhones called iBlacklist. With it, you can add numbers to a blacklist which get removed from your regular Messages app automatically and sent to your iBlacklist to either be read later or deleted.
It works for phone calls too.
So, "in plain English", your ex girlfriend calls you and text messages you but you added her number to your blacklist. No missed call shows up in your recent list, no text message shows up in your Messages app. Open your iBlacklist app and there's both the call record and the message record,… Unless you have it set to automatically delete from there too.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- Why do i feel like hiding away? Lately i have been thinking about how people hide behind their computers, iphones, and avoid each other. I could go spend time with my housemate out in the lounge room but i just feel like hiding. I don't really feel a connection to her, and i feel a little bit sad today
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- If I turn off push messages on my iphone 4 will I still get my regular text messages? I read that turning off push messages or setting them to manually helps save battery life. I want to know if I do this will I still be able to receive my regular text messages.
