How do I get my Verizon cell phone to work with my activated US Cellular sim card?
I have an iPhone 5s that has a US Cellular SIM card that's activated. I took the card out of my iPhone and inserted it into my Verizon Droid 4 that is Unlocked. The Droid 4 connects to the network because I have 5 bars and a 3G icon in the status bar. The problem is, I can't call or text. It won't connect to the person I'm calling. Can someone please explain to me how to fix this?
All your Droid is telling you is it has a signal, it isn't necessarily connected to the network on a communications level. According to the carrier's website, that device isn't compatible with their 4g network. If you're getting a 3G signal it may be something in the device's APN settings that needs to be reconfigured, it's probably still looking for a Verizon APN.
The SIM card us locked to the iPhone and can't be used with any other phone.
- Will my cell phone plan with verizon be cheaper if I get the iPhone separately? I plan on switching to Verizon soon, yet I will be on a budget since I'll also be living on my own for college. So my question is, can I open up an account with Verizon, buy a cheap phone with data and texting etc. On it, THEN buy a Verizon iPhone off of ebay? Also, how much would the monthly charge be if I was to buy an iPhone 5 with its plan at Verizon?
- Will cutting my sim card work to use as a micro sim card? I just ordered an iPhone 4 and I need to cut the sim card to make it a Micro sim. Will it affect it. I have seen a bunch of video and already have the template it for it. I'm using simple mobile. Do you know if anything wrong happen to it?
- Will any Verizon SIM card work in an Verizon iPhone 4S? I had recently acquired an iPhone 4S from an old friend. I was wondering if I could buy a cheap Verizon phone with a pay as you go plan, and remove the SIM from the cheap phone, cut it down to a Micro-SIM, and place it in my new iPhone.
- My iPhone 5s carrier is Verizon but my Verizon SIM Card won't work? I bought an SIM Card off of Amazon but it still doesn't work? It says it's invalid and that it's not the right carrier. I bought it off Craigslist but I have all the info, even the date that the phone was purchased.
