How to put/add contacts on the iphone 3g?

I'm getting an iphone 3g next week… And i want to know how to add contacts to it… I had an ipad, so i know how to work apple products pretty well. But its a phone and its different than ipad… What do i do? Step by step please?

Go to your Phone icon, at the bottom there will be icons such as like Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad, and Voicemail. Go to the contacts icon, and when your there there will be a Plus sign (+) push that button and you are good to go! =D Best of Luck!

One way to do it is open up the Contact app (or whatever you call factory-given apps).
From there, hit the "+" button and manually enter the contact information.
Repeat for multiple contacts.

However, if you have a SIM card already loaded with contacts, you can go to Setting>>Mail, Contacts, and Calendars>> (scroll down to near the bottom) then hit "Import SIM contacts".

Another way is to just add contacts as people text and call you.
