How does a company afford giving lifetime warranty?
Tech Armor makes high quality screen protectors that came with scrap card, dust removing stickers, and microfiber cloth along with the screen protectors (3pk). All that only costed me around $10. I've had my iPhone with their SPs since August 2013. Right now they are giving me my second replacement pack that includes all the extra items because of installation issues and scratches on the installed one. I'm just surprised that they can freely give replacements. Are their profit margins really high or something?
No, not a large profit margin. They have really good customer service & are building their business on their product & their reputation. Keeping happy customers who give their products rave reviews because of the exemplary customer service & warranty is the cheapest form of advertising. The company happily replaces the product because free advertising by happy customers sells more products.
Most people don't have issues & rarely ask for replacements. The life time warranty applies to the specific electronic product you purchased the screen protector for. The life time of an electronic product such as a cell phone or kindle is usually less than 5 years because most people want to update. I have their products & I've never used the warranty. I would if necessary. How long do you think you will own your cell phone? What is the life time? The screen protectors prob won't fit a different model.
Most people scrap electronics fairly quickly, long before they wear out, the parts are pretty cheap but even if they lose money customers like you stay loyal so it is worth it. Most of us don't scratch our phones or bother to replace scratched ones. Many have upgraded to iPhones with higher numbers just because they want the latest.
I'm using my old blackberry that was my first cell phone other than company provided when they were a suitcase. It is acting up a little but the replacement will probably last me 5-10 years. A 20 year old wouldn't be seen with last years model and 5 years old was not on the radar as still good.
Probably and claims are probably extremely low or people just don;t remember or bother
