How does welfare recipients afford fancy things?

I work as a CSM at Wal-mart full time right now and I'm also a student because I do online college for nursing. I'm single, I have no children, I live alone in an apartment and it's $675 a month cheapest in my area for 1 bedroom with free wi-fi, I paid bills, got car payments to pay and got a year left before it's payed off, I have a flip phone because I can't afford a fancy smartphone right now and I pay $25 a month with wal-mart family mobile with discounts because I work there, my laptop is a few years old and need it to finish online school I don't have much longer until I earn my degree then going to training and all that stuff to become a RN. I'm trying to coupon so I can save some money on food and toiletries. Well I see young women usually with at least 3 children and they have iPhones or Galaxy S, name brand bags, nice hairstyles, looks like their nails gets done. They buy all those stuff like makeup with cash then they pull out their food stamp card and/or WIC vouchers when I run the cash register. I don't understand, I'm working my *** off and I'm not on benefits and I don't have the things they got and are they trying to leech from the government? I'm not saying all people because a friend of mine work full time has 2 children and still receives benefits because she's not making enough to provide for her children. Then there's some people who abuses the hell out of it by not working and/or popping up babies just to get more on benefits. I don't understand at all.

Well I'll start off by saying that you may very well be eligible for welfare. It would free up some of your cash.
And while it's true that there are peole that "leech off the government" by lying to get benefits, or whatever, that is an unfair stigma that shames people that need it and keeps others (like you?) who may need it from seeking it out. Most people who use it work their a$$ off as well.
As to how or why they may have "fancy" things- there are thrift stores. There's ebay. Liquidation sales. Hand-me-downs.
They may have their hair and nails done by a friend or family member in the industry that hook them up.
Are they supposed to give up looking nice because they are having a hard time? Should they add poor self image to their troubles? They're buying makeup at walmart, not the clinique counter.
You are making a lot of assumptions. Poor people can be very clever and know how to make the most out of what they have. That doesn't mean they don't need help.

Some lie to get benefits, some only have kids to get benefits and so forth.
I know many families who get welfare for their kids, but spend MOST of it on luxuries and neglect the needs of their children.

Live and let live. It's not your job to judge others. If it's your hobby, then there are many other worth while abuses to follow. Let it go and be kind to people. Just my opinion.

1: SOME (NOT all) but some abuse the system. Notice how you said "usually with at least 3 children".
2: Good budgeting?

No they wrack up debt. Don't fall into the trap of hating all beneficiaries that's what some politicians want you to do so they can be more greedy and not help people in need. When my husband was laid off and we were on welfare sometimes I bought nice clothes on credit it was stupid, but the credit card will let you do it. It just means I have more debt now we have jobs again.

If they get food stamps they can afford the payments on the bmw even though they make min wage
