How good are wireless chargers? Do they charge quick?

I have an iPhone X. I plan to get a wireless charger.

I wouldn't waste my money on one.

There's no such thing as a wireless charger. They all have to be plugged into an electrical outlet.

Cheap wireless chargers for the iPhone charge at 5w the same as that little free one you get with the phone (The slowest).

Good wireless chargers for the iPhone top out at 7.5w (iPhones don't support higher watts) which is about 50% faster, but will still feel slow.

The wired 2amp usb chargers (aka iPad Chargers) charge the phone at around 10w which is double the speed of the free charger. This starts to feel resonably fast and good enough for most people.

For true quick charging you have to get a wired USB-C PD charger which will charge the phone to 50% in around 30 minutes. They say that it's not the best for the battery to use this for your everyday charger.

Wireless charging is good for a desk where you might be all day, but can pick the phone up and down without hassling with the cords. I also like it in the bedroom where I don't have to fumble with a wire in the dark. But it's definitely not quick.

Wireless chargers are slower than wired chargers & of course also restricts your use while they are being charged. I'd only use one if you don't use the phone while it is being charged or don't like dealing with the cables.

I find the echo dot charger to be the fastest I've ever seen! Not sure why my phone charges in 30 minutes flat!

My Anker wireless charger charges my phone as fast a wired charger -- and is much more convenient. If you get one, make sure it's at least 10 watts.

If you buy an actual wireless charger they work great super fast but if you buy a cheap brand one they are really slow.

I guess it doesn't bother me plugging it into wall, not sure why wireless charging is such a big deal.

Save your money. It's just a hassle.

If really wanted try, buy brand name (tylt, Sony, samsung…)

Not worthwhile. Only a convenience. The ability to pickup device without detaching cord.

Slow charging.

Overheating issues. (don't use especially during summer, -or- direct sun)

Can't, not-advised, using device while charging.

When talking about wireless chargers, you need to know that they are the fastest on earth, it can only be slow if you bought a fake one
