How much tax would I have to pay on an iphone sent from the US?
I'm looking to buy an iphone 4 from amazon US. It is £105 used compared to the UK where it is £200. How much tax will I have to pay? I think it is only VAT on items under £135 so is it just 20%? Also, if it is locked to an American network (Verizon) will it work on a English network if I get it unlocked here or will I have to jailbrake it?
£105 + vat + collection fee, and locked to foreign network, don't bother.
- Would I have to pay California tax if I bought an iPhone in NV with a CA credit card? Don't really want to pay $60 extra in tax for my phone if I can hop over to NV and not pay it…
- Will I have to pay VAT on an iphone sent to the UK? I bought an iphone 4 (non contract and unlocked by ATT) here (in the US) and i'm sending it as a gift for my girlfriend. I want to send it to her, but I don't know if I will end up paying customs or not? Is there a price limit that I have to be under to not pay VAT? Thank you I'm guessing there's no way to avoid it, unless I do not declare it right?
- My sent folder is not showing all the emails I have sent. Why is this happening? This seems to be random, with some showing and others not. Since Thursday, nothing I've sent out is in the sent folder. More worrying, on my iPhone, the entire sent folder has been emptied.
- Is the turbo tax tax caster app accurate? I downloaded the turbo tax, tax caster app for my iPhone. I earned 15k this year, and I'm claiming one child this year (I didn't claim a child last year). When I plugged in my info and hit calculate, it told me my refund would be 7k. Could this be accurate? I've heard of a earned income credit but this seems like a lot more than I expected. Is this app accurate?
