Would I have to pay California tax if I bought an iPhone in NV with a CA credit card?
Don't really want to pay $60 extra in tax for my phone if I can hop over to NV and not pay it…
If you purchase your phone in a store, you pay that state's sales tax if there's one.
Nevada has a sales tax including the local surchage is 8.1%
I don't know where you are in California, but many places in California have taxes less than that. Like Orange County is 7.75. Los Angeles is 8.75% so when you add the price of gasoline, you are far better off purchasing it close to home.
If you can find someone that can ship it to you with a California Nexus, you can get it without tax but obviously, Apple, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint all have California Nexus' and since last weekend Amazon does too.
- Is the turbo tax tax caster app accurate? I downloaded the turbo tax, tax caster app for my iPhone. I earned 15k this year, and I'm claiming one child this year (I didn't claim a child last year). When I plugged in my info and hit calculate, it told me my refund would be 7k. Could this be accurate? I've heard of a earned income credit but this seems like a lot more than I expected. Is this app accurate?
- Is it safe to pay for MineCraft with a credit card? I've been dying to get minecraft. But my dad does NOT like to use his credit card to pay for anything I ask him to. I'm serious. It took a whole week for me to get access to the app store after I got my iphone. But I just want to know. Will minecraft (mojang) rip me off? Will it use my dad's credit card for other purposes?
- I have good credit, do I need to pay deposit? I'm in the process of buying an iphone but it says that the deposit could be from $400-$600. That's way out of my pocket. Is there any way I could work around not paying deposit?
- How to pay for more iCloud storage on iPhone without credit card? I want to purchase 50 GB of iCloud storage for $0.99 a month on my iPhone. However, my parents won't allow me to use their credit card and I was wondering if there's any other way to pay for it. Maybe an apple card or something?
