How much time would someone get for stealing a $650 iPhone 4S?

Someone stole my iphone and I thought I would never get it back but I went to new wave wireless and had them run the IMEI and it showed that it had been bought by them but they sold it i had filed a police report the day it was stolen btw it was at my school well new wave gave me the name of the guy they sold it to and I filled out an affidavit and they put out a warrant for his arrest he goes to my school will I get restitution and will he go to jail? He has been arrested previously

If he's been arrested before he may be arrested again

You would probably receive a judgment against him to repay you but getting the money may be a different story. Unless he's got a long rap sheet or this violates probation (if applicable) i really doubt its enough to put him away.

Yes more then likely. And if hes on probation then he will definitely be in the slammer. He will probably get 8 moths max.

The person who stole the phone will have criminal charges, what the consequence will be depends on the age and past history.
The person who bought the phone from them will have to give it back, usually by returning it to the store they bought it from, and then returned to you. The shop should return their money.
If the phone is damaged beyond use, there's usually a fund through the police department to help replace stolen items.
Avoid buying anything from that shop as obviously they are not careful enough about what they buy.
