How much would a deductible on an iPhone 4 cost?
I lost my phone yesterday with no chances of getting it back. As soon as I got home, we cut it off. For now, I have until this Christmas until it's time for my upgrade.
Any idea on how much a deductible would be for an iPhone 4?
Added (1). That's why my parents called it, since we have insurance I reckon. It was never used before I got it.
Added (2). I forgot to mention, we have AT&T.
A "deductible" on an iPhone? Never heard of such a thing. Are you asking about a reburbished phone or used phone?
The company most carriers do their insurance through is called Asurion. Deductibles are between $50 and $200. For an iPhone 4, it's most likely going to be a $100 deductible. That may vary depending on your carrier though. Try calling your carrier and having them check for you or transfer you to Asurion.
Another option would be mentioning how much it would run you to get an early upgrade. A lot of times, carriers will have the option to do an early upgrade and the cost is what it would be to buy out your contract. In other words, it would cost as much as it would to cancel your account. That really varies depending on your contract end date. Try telling them you can't pay for service you're not getting. They may at the least offer to send you a refurbished device. That's what the insurance companies do; replace it with a refurb. Not worth the deductible… Try looking on craigslist to find one. I see them all the time for cheaper than deductibles. Just make sure you ask the seller to provide you with the ESN number in the phone's settings so you can call the carrier and make sure it isn't tied to an account already. Also, call Apple and ask them if you have AppleCare. That would get you a new phone at no cost. Sorry for the mass of information, but that's everything the carrier SHOULD tell you, but don't always, and it's good to understand what your situation is.
- Why is there a $175 deductible to replace my iPhone 5s on T-Mobile? I have the JUMP! Program for insurance. In this program, T-Mobile's website states that you can replace your device for free, so long as you file a damage report. Accidental damage is included. If it's "free," why the $175 deductible?! That's pricy for a deductible…
- Verizon Insurance Deductible? I have been paying a $10 fee every month for insurance on my white iPhone 4. I dropped it in water today and took it to the store and the employee gave me information to go home and make my claim online. But they are charging a $169 deductible. Do I have to pay that? Is it refundable? I have been paying the $10 a month so I do not see why I have to pay for a new phone
- Should I pay the deductible to replace my stolen iPhone 5? My iPhone 5 was stolen today, and I was wondering if I should pay the $170 deductible to replace it when I'm just gonna get the iPhone 5S next month anyway. More than likely Apple will come out with a plastic low cost iPhone 5 next month and the resell value of the iPhone 5 won't be much more that the cost I would pay for the deductible. should I wait to get the 5S, or just pay the deductible and sell the phone next month and pay the remaining $650 + tax for the gold 5S?
- How much would the iPhone 5 cost if I upgraded from iPhone 4? I would like to know how much the difference would be for the iPhone 5 if I upgraded from iPhone 4 (not 4S). I know there's a charge but I would like to know how much (British £) thank you.
