How to activate my Verizon Iphone 5?

I currently have an iphone 4 from verizon and I'm mid contract. My mom, for my birthday, went to the Verizon store and bought me an iphone 5. I now have an iphone I'm dying to use but I can't because its not activated. How can I activate it and use it instead of my iphone 4. Do I have to go to a Verizon store? Or can I do it online or over the phone?

You can do it 3 different ways:

1. You can go up to the Verizon Wireless store and have them activate it for you for free and switch over your old telephone number to your iphone 5.

2. You need to have Wi-Fi for the next option… You can turn your phone on with the SIM card in it and then go through the step by step process such as the language, time zone, country etc. & then after that your phone should be read for use

3. You can go on the go the Verizon Wireless website and go to activate phone or call 611 from your phone and talk to an operator.

You might want to go to the store or you can just take the sim out and put it in iPhone 5
