How to add contacts on iPhone 5s?
I just switched from iPhone 3G to 5s and I'm feeling completely stupid. Not sure why I can't figure this out…
It seems like the only way to add contacts is to import them from my e-mail contacts. I don't want to do that.
I just want to be able to manually enter a name and a phone number, but I don't see how I can do that. When I open "Contacts" it gives me the option of searching or importing them from "groups" ie the aforementioned email contacts, but there's no button for entering a new contact manually.
When I receive text messages, I select the option of "create new contact" but they still don't show up when I open my contacts. Their name only shows when I open my text messages.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Added (1). The "+" sign does not exist. That's what I'm asking about.
Bring up your contacts on your phone, hit the + sign at the top left corner, and you can manually add them.
Yes it does. If you open the Contacts app, the '+' is at the upper right part of the screen.
- Why did the iPhone update add back a contact/contacts I had deleted? Pretty irritating to see a person show up in my contacts whom I deleted over 6 months ago. A name and face I don't want to see. I mean I deleted the pictures and everything yet I just found that his pic and all his contact info was in there. Is it just a glitch where it did a restore from 7 months ago for some odd reason!
- Whatsapp contacts - if they're onnm contacts am I on theirs? I have the phone number of an old friend stored on my iPhone and they also show on my whatsapp contact list… Does this mean that they still have my phone number stored in their phone and also have whatsapp installed on their phone? The chat thing says they haven't been seen since 28th sept? If they didn't have my number on their phone would they still show as one of my contacts on whatsapp?
- My contacts keep changing into my parent's contacts? I'm using my Dad's old iPhone 4, so it has all of his data. I cleared out everything that was his but I hate the part where each time my parent's add a new contact to their phone, everything syncs over to my contacts, so I'm scrolling down my list and see a new person I don't know but my parents do. Is there a way to change this?
- Iphone 4s can't add more than 39 contacts? For some reason I can't add more than 39 contacts on my new iphone 4s. I click the add button and I fill out the name and number then I hit done but the contact is nowhere to be found. Is there something i'm missing here?
