An iphone can't receive native AM/FM radio, (doesn't have a built-in tuner circuit) except via the internet - using cellular data plan and an app. Wi-Fi or Mobile data rates apply while listening to the radio.
Each app has their own ways of adding stations, some you have to enter, or may select recently listened to stations, may enable you to select favorites or presets. The apps are often the same for any cell phone, not just iphone.
iTunes Radio or TuneIn Radio, iHeartRadio are all apps that uses Wi-Fi connection or cellular data.
- Why don't some radio stations have online streams available? Here in South Carolina, every radio station in the cities of Greenville, Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston offer online streams and I can listen to them on my desktop, laptop, or IPhone. But stations in Sumter, Orangeburg, and Allendale do not and I can't listen to them anywhere but the radio. Why could this be?

I would love to improve the FM radio reception on it, but it seems everyone recommends an external antenna. I just think it's a little unnessasary for me to purchase one just for my alarm clock radio in my bedroom. Any other suggestions? Thanks! (ps, the antenna on it isn't your typical metal one. It is more of a long, flexible wire)
