How to block phone calls/texts on iPhone 5?
So, as a joke someone decided to troll my number on some adult 18+ chat called "hehechat" now I keep getting foreign calls and texts, can I block these and only relieve calls from my area?
I've tried this before and you can't. I've logged into my online account and blocked numbers but they can still reach me when I'm connected to wireless.
Sign up for call block and get one of those tele zapper. That keeps tele marketers and non published numbers from calling you. You can call the phone company and have that number traced. They may can hide from you. But they can't hide from the Phone Company. Phone company has their records. Even if their number is non published. The phone company still has their info. They may not give it to you. But they can call them and and tell them to stop it.
Call your carrier and tell them the number and they can block it.
There are most likely Call Blocking apps. For your Iphone. I have AT&T, and use their 'Smart Limits' feature for Call Blocking… There may be free ones available if your carrier can't help you.
- When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
- Since latest Apple update on my Iphone 7 the phone will only vibrate when I get texts or calls? I checked the settings and they're still set for the sounds, the volume is up, the phone is not on night. What is going on?

Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?

As some may know the ridiculous amount phone companies charge you to use your phone there. The resort I'm staying has Wi-Fi which I will be using so airplane mode is not really an option.
