How to cancel my orange contract easily?

I have been in an Orange contract since last april. I have been paying £20 a month to pay for a samsung galaxy ace and 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 100mb of internet and insurance. However, I feel like this is a rip off and have recently just purchased an iPhone 4.So no longer need insurance. I want to change to giff gaff because they have amazing deals on just a sim, seen as I unlocked the iphone! Is there any way that I can easily get out of the contract, like by saying I can't afford to pay the rest of it?

I'd say that's a good deal! I pay £33 for 600mins, Ultd texts, 500mb data. On an iPhone 5 with vodafone. And I also buy an extra add on, 2gb Internet for £10. And sorry to say this but you can't cancel it, you signed a contract. Of you cancelled you'd still have to pay the remainder of your contract, even if you lost it. Contact orange see what they can do, get an upgrade. Put the sim card in your iPhone, but check with orange first

If you want to cancel a contract before the minimum contract term is up then you need to pay off the remaining term of the contract.

You will need to contact your network service provider for them to calculate how much this will be, but a general rule of thumb is that it is the monthly contract amount multiplied by the amount of months you have left on the plan.

For example, if your contract is £30 per month and you have 4 months left you would pay:

£30 x 4 months = £120 to cancel the contract.

When you signed up for the contract you agreed to pay it for X amount of months, if you tell them you can't pay or won't pay they will chase you for the money and would eventually pass it over to a debt collection agency who could come to your house to collect the money. So its really not worth just stopping paying it.
