How to change a contract iphone to pay as you go?
I have an old iphone which the contract has ended, how can i make this phone pay as you go?
Steps to follow:
1. You call your mobile network and ask to terminate the contract
2. They'll tell you the date when it is getting terminated
3. Day before the date get PAYG SIM from any network
4. Get PAC code from your previous network
5. Call your new network and give them your PAC code (to have same phone number on PAYG)
6. Off you go
Note: If you're going to use some other network then don't forget to unlock your phone
Your carrier may unlock the iPhone for you. Call and ask, since your contract has ended they usually are pretty cool about unlocking your phone.
After you unlock it you can take any prepaid SIM and just use it with that unlocked iPhone.
- Will an orange pay as you go sim card work in my iphone orange contract phone? My orange phone is still in contract but could do with a different number on pay as you go as well, would rather just get the sim card and swap them over, but can always buy a cheap phone as well
- Unlocking iPhone4s from contract to pay as you go? If someone has an iPhone 4s on contract with 3, when the contract ends and the person upgrades to iPhone 5, can they then unlock the 4s and use it on pay as you go?
- Is pay as you go better than pay monthy for an iphone? I can either can an iphone 4 (32gb with small scratch on screen) for 100 pounds and then have a pay as you go sim or an 8gb iphone 4 for "effectively 14.88 a month". Which works out the better deal?
- IPhone: Contract or Pay as you go? I'm thinking of buying an iPhone (4 or 3gs) and I'm wondering what is better? (Contract or Pay as you go?)
