How to change stupid itunes sync settings?

'Your calendars are being synced with your iPhone over the air from iCloud.

Over the air settings can be changed on your iPhone.'

Ok, well I don't want icloud i want to sync my contacts through a goddamn wire ; and where do i change these settings?

I just want there to be a little box which you click that says sync contacts, like there was before all this new 'ooh no need for a wire now we have 'over the air' bla bla;

What's the difference?

If you as the user holding the device and at the computer can't readily see it then the options not there

You can do it through iTunes and on your iPhone specifically for Contacts and Library; you can also change whether or not to backup/sync to iCloud or the computer it's connected to.

1. Connect your iPhone and open iTunes (if it's not set to open automatically).
2.In the upper right corner, click on the iPhone tab next to the iTunes Store tab.
3. Click on the Summary tab; under Backups, select Automatically Back Up to "This Computer".
4. At the bottom, click Apply and then Sync.

As long as it's set to Back Up to your computer, it'll sync/back up to your computer every time you connect your iPhone to it.

To turn off iCloud syncing for Contacts, Library, etc., go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud (should be the first account) and scroll down to Contacts. Slide Off anything you don't want synced to iCloud.

You can also just delete your iCloud account:

1. On your iPhone, select the Settings app, then iCloud.
2. Tap Delete Account to delete your iCloud account.

Or, just turn off iCloud Backup:

1. Select Settings, then iCloud.
2. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Storage and Backup.
3. At the bottom, turn off iCloud Backup.

First turn off the iCloud in your iPhone simply going into you setting and deselect the contact and calendar in the iCloud window, this will stop syncing by iCloud via air in your iTunes. Then connect your iPhone to your computer, open the iTunes, get to the iPhone drop down, then select the summary and tick the sync from whatever data file such as outlook contact, calendar, then select apply. It should do the trick.
