How to clear old phone messages from iphone 4s?
I do not have an iPhone, but I have an iPad and I'm assuming it works the same on all Apple devices. To delete individual messages, hold down on the message, then when the thing comes up that says copy and more, select more, then select however many messages you want and hit delete. If you want to delete the whole conversation, swipe to the left on the little thing and hit delete. Hope I helped
Define "phone message".
Texts? Voicemail? Notifications? Logs?
A restore of the phone would clear out everything.
- Will my messages from my old phone transfer to my iPhone? My new iPhone has my sister's number, and then we're switching numbers between the phones. (We got a new line but they added my sister's number onto my phone, and then we're going to switch because she will use a hand-me-down phone from one of my parents or my sister or me.) But when I switch the numbers between the two phones, will that transfer messages too?
- Is a 6 year old old enough to have her own phone? I have a bunch of old iPhones (6,7,8) saved up and I'm thinking of putting her into the family plan. What do you think of a 6 year old having a smartphone?
- IPhone messages (saved) won't clear? IMy iPhone Usage under settings says that my "messages (saved)" are taking up 1.5 GB of data. I don't see any kind of Delete button for it. So how do I clear this? Please help. I've rest my phone multiple times and have ios7
- If I clear my old iPhone will the icloud back up stay on my new iPhone? Someone I know has a new iPhone 5 and I'm having their iPhone 4. They saved everything on the iPhone 4 to icloud and then downloaded that data onto the new iPhone 5. I want to clear the iPhone 4 putting it back to original state, however, they are concerned that as this phone holds the original photos etc. That this might also delete them off the new iPhone 5. Does anyone know for certain if this will happen or what to do to avoid it? Preferably without needing to back up to a computer.
