How to completely restore iphone 4?
So as it says, I have this iphone 4 with a passcode that i have no idea what it is, given by a friend and I can't seem to restore it. It's running on ios7 and when I try to restore it I encounter "error 3194", because its not synced to my laptop, now I have tried numerous things to get by this, ifaith, trying to downgrade, downgrading itunes etc. Its really getting on my nerves as i have no phone atm. I've tried pwned dfu mode with resn0w hoping to get somewhere but nothing. I'm hoping there's some tech guy/gal willing to help me out with this, with some sort of magic way of getting by it, I know there's. I have done this before just on ios6.1.3/.1.2. I'm really stuck and just want to get this done. Any help appreciated. Cheers.
Added (1). Hey, yeah i've tried that all before NOTHING seems to be working for me I hate apple so much I'm an android user but mine got robbed and i've had to resort to apple cheers anyways
Go to apple.com click on itunes click on download itunes then on next page uncheck boxes and click download itunes. This will repair what is missing in itunes. Click run or repair whatever prompt appears. Once installed restart computer. Open itunes and plug the cord into a different usb port on the computer. Plug cord into computer. Not phone. Turn phone completely off. Hold home button in and plug cord into phone continuing to hold button in until a prompt on itunes screen states a device is in recovery mode. Then let go of button. Set up as new device. This will get by the passcode but will not get by find my phone activation. Sometimes a different cord or computer might be needed if this gives same error code.
- When you restore your iphone completely, with it undo the unlocking? I bought an iphone from this chick on craigslist and she said it was unlocked but now that i got my new sim, it says it has to be with your carrier… When she restored it, did it undo the locking? She said she was with att and it was unlocked. And its an iphone 4. (i'm with att by the way if you need to know)
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- Should i let my iPhone die completely before I charge it? Okay so I just got an iPhone 4 and I let it go dead before I charged it. Then let it charge completely before using it. Do I have to do that every time or can I plug it in whenever I want and charge it.
- My IPhone works completely fine sometimes but a lot of times I can't use it and it's completely unresponsive to my touch? I scheduled an appointment to fix my very cracked screen and I was just wondering if this will fix my problem for sure or is there something else that may be causeing the screen to be unresponsive?
