How to connect a Nikon and iPhone?
I need to take a self portrait with a nikon D7000 and it doesn't have a flip out screen so I won't know if I'm in frame or in focus. I go to an arts high school and some one in my class has this cord that connects his phone to his canon camera. So I was wondering if any one new what kind of cord I would need for a nikon? I have D7000 and an iPhone?
Any thing would really help thank you
Phone tethering is very new and currently I think only the Canon t4i has the feature. It's overkill for what you are trying to do any way!
Just use a tripod, look thought the viewfinder so you can judge the background and align yourself to it. Set the camera on Manual focus with the focus ring set to a distance you measured with a tape measure - making sure that you use a sensible aperture to get the required depth of field.
I'm not an old school manual everything freak, but there are times when manual is quicker, easier, and more controllable. In the context of art school photography you'll learn more this way too!
Set up your camera on a tripod and enable liveview.
Put a mirror beind the camera so you can see the display from where you are sitting/standing.
That way you will be able to see if you are in frame.
- Which is better for me. Nikon or iPhone? Okay, we'll I'm getting my sister something, actually. Her birthday is oh Christmas. My whole family is chipping in. & she really deserves it. She has been good, and works for her money. Also, double the gifts, the usual.So. She said she either wanted the iPhone 5 or the Nikon d3000. There both around 400 500 bucks. She takes pictures everyday of an iPod… But the camera isn't good at all. She is 12 turning 13.So which one should we get?
- What has better video quality Nikon d3100 or iphone 4s? Thank you No, it isn't a joke. They both have video recording capability so I'm just wondering if the Nikon has better quality.
- Nikon D3100 video recording? How come when I'm recording video with this camera the recording isn't continuous. When you watch the video and people are moving such as waving, running or moving their mouths or heads there are small pauses that are constant. This is hard to explain but the video isn't smooth. It's almost like the camera is constantly adjusting itself, therefore all the video seems distorted. My iphone and my cheap sony camera take better video than this.
- Nikon coolpix p7700 has decent sound quality at concerts? I will be using the camera also for concerts as well as taking pictures in the odd place/holiday. I just need to know if the sound is good or not? As long its better than my HTC desire c microphone because the sound quality of that on playback was absolutely horrid and when I took iPhone 4s to concert that microphone was completely fine. Is the camera just as good?
