How to connect my laptop to Wi-Fi that only allows mobile devices?

I'm attempting to connect to a work network, the administration is away for a few weeks.
My iPhone will connect to the network when I enter my username and password and accept the security certificate.
But when I try to connect my laptop it either doesn't connect or won't even let me enter my username and password.
I have a feeling this is because my username and password for windows doesn't match my network username and password.
I don't have access to the router to reset it etc. I have already tried to diagnose/repair/restart/renew IP on my laptop with no luck.

Is there any way to spoof my laptop so the network will recognize it as an iPhone?

I don't think you can connect your laptop to the network but you could try creating a VPN network from your phone and connect your laptop to that

  • Why would Apple make FaceTime only compatible with iOS devices? It doesn't make sense what if someone has an Android! Then FaceTime is useless to the person with the iPhone who wants to video chat with the person with the Android. Someone please tell me why Apple did this, I know it's a stupid question but its bugging me
  • Which prepaid mobile network in the US allows you to tether your iPhone? I've been looking at Virgin, who offer uncapped data on month-by-month plans, but it's not clear if they allow you to tether your iPhone (AKA use it as a 'personal hotspot'). Any suggestions?
  • Router only allows 1 device Internet access? I have a linksys router. Has worked fine for a while. Just got Internet back. Whatever device connects wirelessly to it first works perfectly fine. The next devices that attempt to connect to it get assigned the generic 192.168.1.1 ip and do not have access to the Internet. I have no computer, using iPhone and iPad to set this up. Dchp is on. I've reset it several times and tried. Changed the ip of the router, etc. I'm sorta technology illiterate, and need some help./
  • One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
