How to develop an Iphone app?
I have app ideas and i'm looking for how I would go about putting them into actual functioning apps that people can use. Where can I find developers, app creators & who/what do I need to turn my ideas into into motion and come up with a finished product.
Well find people who are developers at that know how to code Xcode, and Objective C which are the native tools to developing an iPhone app. Also ask if they know Xamarin and you can easily learn to use it too and create your own app.
Firstly, you'll need a Mac for Xcode, the integrated development environment (IDE) for developing iOS and Mac applications. Some people will tell you that you don't need Mac, but if you can afford a Mac and are committed long term to this as a possible career, just get a Mac and save yourself the run about.
The language to learn is Objective-C, after that its how to build apps with Apple's Cocoa Touch framework on Xcode.
Some resources for self learning, be sure to get the latest editions:
- Programming in Objective-C (Steven Kochan)
- iOS Programming (The big nerd range guide)
- Apple's WWDC videos (developer.apple.com)
- iPhone and iPad courses on iTunes U
Most apps are found in the phones "App Store"/"Google Play Store" or whatever else there's…
Almost every app that I can think of uses "Objective-C" - youtube it, and learn how to code in it
Iv never tried gasping it yet, but all my coding buddies told me its really easy to understand quick
After you have your app made, send it to the people at the "App Store" (i'm sure at the app store, there's a button like "submit app" or something)
I donno how, but I know you need to do this too:
To test your app, you need to download this program that connects your iphone to a verteral iphone so you can actually test it on the computer, but if you can find some nice tutorials on Objective-C, they will probably show you how to do that too
- Join me to develop an iPhone app? If you want to help me develop an IPhone app or just want to learn how to code an iPhone app let me know, I been coding with Xcode about a year now.
- Is there an inexpensive way to develop an app? I'm a college student with a few ideas for iPhone apps that I would like to release. The only problem is that the cost for developing one seems to be a little on the high side for me and is money I don't really have at the moment (I have less than $500 saved up). Does anyone have any recommendations on what would be the most inexpensive way to develop a quality app for IPhones and Android devices?
- I want to buy a macbook pro to develop iphone app development? I want to switch to mac from windows. I play games in pc i.e windows. my main concern to switch to mac is to develop ios applications for iphone, ipad. is 13 inch 2.5ghz non retina display model is good enough to develop applications using xcode.
- How to get legal permission to develop an app for a site? I have been reading some requests on a site called poptropica, and a lot of people want it on iPhone. I know I have enough coding-digital art skills to make it, but how do I get permission from the developers to do so? Would they likely officially hire me?
