How to develop iphone apps on Windows 7?
I would like to develop iphone apps on Windows 7 using objective C. I know the final procedure will still require an apple product to upload the app to the apple market. But I would like to know if there's any IDEs for development using objective C in windows 7 besides installing Mac OS on pc or a mac os vmware?
You can use unreal engine and unity, which is mainly for 3d game apps. You can't use objective c for it. You must have a Mac.
One of the many "virtues" of Apple, is that they do as much as possible to force you into using their products. IOS apps can only be developed on a Mac, using Xcode. Though I believe JetBrains has an alternative product called AppCode which can be used. You can always build a hackintosh, or run OSX on a VM, but it kind of sucks. I tried building a hackintosh, but couldn't get it to work, and VMs ran incredibly slow.
There are multiple programs that can export to an iOS app, but the only way to natively write one is to use a mac. Things like the Unreal Engine and Unity, as already mentioned can export iOS apps, but when I'm on my Windows PC I tend to use Adobe Flash to develop. I have more experience with it, and it is easier to me to code in than unity and unreal. These ways work, but in my experience, xcode on a mac is by far the fastest and most efficient way for small apps.
