How to find out if iPhone is unlocked if phone doesn't have a plan?
My phone doesn't have a plan so I can't check it by putting in another sim. Also, IMEI.info gave me an error message. The carrier in the "about" section in Setting says "Rogers 14.0". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Call Apple. They have a way to check if it is unlocked. They will need the serial number of the phone to check though.
- Will I be able to unlock my iPhone with a home phone plan instead of a wireless plan? I don't have a wireless plan with AT&T but I have a home phone plan does that count towards unlocking requirements? And also can I use a mildly cracked screen as a replacement screen on my iPhone?
- What happens to my phone plan when using an unlocked iphone? I currently have a unlimited talk/text plan with at&t, I really want an iPhone 4, but my dad doesn't want to upgrade my plan to iPhone, if I were to buy an unlocked iPhone 4, and just put my sim inside, would this change anything on my plan? What I thought is, my plan won't change, I just won't have internet access unless I'm at home on the Wi-Fi internet. But all other features such as talk and text won't change, am I right?
- My iPhone just got stolen and i didn't put on Find my iphone. Is there a way i can find it without find my iphone? I have found out that i can remove my iphone from associated devices. Does doing this erase the iphone?
- Is it cheaper to get a new iPhone on a plan or buy it unlocked and add a cheap plan? I can either buy the phone for $250 and pay a monthly $80 plan with data for 2 years or purchase the unlocked phone $800 and pay $30 - $50 a month - I might not get data but it wouldn't be a big deal to me, I'm just trying to find a deal thats not ridiculously expensive cause I can't really afford too too much right now. Which would be better?
