How to fix my iPhone after it fell into water?
I have an iPhone 4. I went to a pool, and took it with me, and put it in my pocket. When we got there, I jumped into the pool, realizing I still had it in my pocket. It was underwater for about twenty seconds, and when I discovered it, I repeatedly attempted to press the "on" button but it didn't work. I think I might've short circuited it just by doing that. I've even tried the rice method but it didn't work. And it's not even damaged by the water! None of the water detectors/sensors turned red! So, basically, can someone please tell me how to fix my iPhone 4 after it was underwater for twenty seconds and after I tried to turn it on? Any POSSIBLE way?
Oh, it's damaged by the water. You don't need a colorful sticker to tell you that.
Trying to turn it on after it's been in water for 20 seconds? No idea why you'd ever think this was a smart idea.
You could send it for repair, but it'll be cheaper to buy a new phone.
Probably better off getting a new phone. Even if it does turn back on, the damage caused by the water will make it glitchy.
- What to do if your iPhone fell in water? I tried the blow dryer approach and now I submerged my phone in a container filled with rice. Is there anything else I can try at this point?
- What do i do, my iphone fell in water I was brushing my teeth while listening to music from my iphone and it fell in the sink and was completely submerged in water for about a few seconds but i got it out quickly. I turned it off right away and put it in a bowl of wild rice (obvously not cooked) because thats what it said online. Did i do the right thing? Does anyone have any better methods? If the rice is the right idea, how long do i leave my phone in it?
- My iPhone fell into water I took a blow dryer to it, then I soaked it in a bag of rice. It'll turn on when it's plugged into a wall charger, but it says it needs to be connected to iTunes and be restored, so I plugged it into my laptop and it won't turn on.iTunes won't even pick up my phone to sync or ANYTHING. I need help! I left it in the bag of rice OVER 24 hours.
- My iPhone fell in water, what should I do? Okay, so its not visibly damaged (the screen has no water on it) and it works fine so far. I turned it off and placed it in a sealed bag with rice. What should I do now? There isn't too much water in the phone. How long should I keep it in the bag? I was thinking 3 hours. Is that too short?
