How to get iWork for free on old iPhone?

I LOVE iWork so much! Too bad I'm using an iPhone 5. How, seriously, how do you get iWork for free on an old device? I really hate Apple for not allowing the 'elderly' phones get a chance to run these wonderful software. SIGH…

Your question is way too vague.

It's NOT about the age of your iPhone so much as the version of iOS installed. So, which version does your iPhone currently use?

You should have upgraded from your current iOS to the latest version, iOS 7, and then check on the iTunes Store, to re-install iWork, or the individual Modules, as needed.

TIP: Whether iWork is free or NOT free, depends on Apple's specific qualifying requirements, and this is out of your hands.

  • Will I Get The Full iWork With My New Purchase? My cousin recently broke my iPhone 4S so I'm getting a new one out of insurance from Verizon. I heard a promotion from Apple saying I could get the whole iWOrk suit or something? How does this work?
  • Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down. Mum's new sim card is working, but when we put my sisters in the old phone, it just keeps saying no service. What do we do? Can we use it or not?
  • Is a 6 year old old enough to have her own phone? I have a bunch of old iPhones (6,7,8) saved up and I'm thinking of putting her into the family plan. What do you think of a 6 year old having a smartphone?
  • IOS 7 on iPhone 5, no iWork I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased in April 2013. Today (September 18) I updated to iOS 7. So, Apple said that new iDevices will have iWork for free. (iMovie, iPhoto, Pages, Keynote, Numbers) So I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and I can't get the apps for free.
