How to get my iphone 5 to play iPod music on my Pioneer AVH-P8400BH?

I just recently brought a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and I can't get it to play iPod music without using Bluetooth I've brought a lightning to 30 pin adapter to play and it still won't play music. How do I get my iphone 5 to play iPod music without Bluetooth?(yes I have a USB insert cord plugged in)

In the back of the unit, there's a 3.5mm jack, you need to get a dual sided 3.5mm jack cord, one end goes in the back of the unit, the other goes in your ipod

  • Will the pioneer cdiu201s cable still work the app mode with iPhone 5? I just purchased the Pioneer 8400BH and I have the iPhone 5 and i don't know if to purchase the pioneer cdiu201 cable to use the app mode sense I been checking online and they all say it only works for iPhone 4/4s. Has some one tried this with iPhone 5?

  • Why does my Pioneer car deck skip? I have a DEH-X6500BT. When I use it for Pandora, it doesn't skip, but when I plug my iPhone into it (or use the bluetooth connectivity) it will start playing a song for a while (usually around a minute and thirty seconds), and then I hear a whoosh, the song gets muffled, and it skips to the next song. What's up with this?

So I could play iPod music on it and when I plug it up to the deck it says error 02-67 which means "the iPod firmware is old" but my iPhone 5 firmware is 6.1.4 how can I fix this? And yes I know I can Bluetooth music but I don't want too
