How to get rid of a jailbreak?

I recently got my iPhone 3gs jailbroken yesterday from a phone technician and now my device is in ios 4.1
I want to download apps but most apps require a higher ios for me to be able to download and use. I decided I want to get rid of the jailbreak and then update my iPhone to ios 6.1.3

Sync your phone with a backup in itunes, it will override the jailbreak c

1) Plug in your iPhone into your computer with the USB cable
2) Open up iTunes
3) Click on your iPhone under the Devices Tab
4) Click on Restore this will bring your phone back to factory settings (like how it came right out of the box when you first got it)

Getting your information, apps, settings, etc back
1) Click on your iphone in the devices category
2) Click on Restore from back up (choose the most recent back up option that you have available)

  • Should I get rid of my iPhone and get a basic phone? I've had an iPhone for 2 years, and my contract runs out 9/2/12, should I get a 4s or a Pantech Jest 2? I want to save my dad money, and all I really use my iPhone for is music and Facebook. My friends say I should stick with my iPhone, but I don't know… Share your input, thanks
  • I bought a Mac, how do I get rid of linux and install Mac OS again? I bought this mac second hand. It is an iBook G4, but the people installed linux on it and I would like the OS software on it instead as I have an iPhone and an iPod and iCloud and I would just rather deal with something that I'm familiar with, but I have been looking and I have no idea how to delete it and put what I want on it.
  • How to get rid of Pandora ads on iPhone? I can't stand the damn things. I have an iPhone 4 and its not jail broken but is there a way I can somehow change something to where I don't have them anymore? Love the app just can't stand the ads.
  • How to get rid of overage charges (at&t)? I own an iphone 4, and my data plan is $20/300 gb. I went over my plan by 12.11 mb, so obviously I'm billed an extra $20 in my next bill. What can I do to get rid of the overage charges? I really do not want to pay the extra $20. Should I switch to a new plan? Can I call in, and ask someone to get rid of it?
