How to get rid of overage charges (at&t)?
I own an iphone 4, and my data plan is $20/300 gb. I went over my plan by 12.11 mb, so obviously I'm billed an extra $20 in my next bill.
What can I do to get rid of the overage charges? I really do not want to pay the extra $20. Should I switch to a new plan? Can I call in, and ask someone to get rid of it?
ATT will not let you remove your data plan. Sorry, it sucks. Just switch to the $30 / 3GB plan. If you are stubborn about it, download "3G watchdog" or any data tracker app (your phone should have it built in too, just ATT's version) this way you can watch yourself.
Also, when in places with Wi-Fi like your home, office, or school, turn off your data connection. That way anything that normally updates (FB, Twitter, Instagrm, Tumblr, Email, Weather and trust me there are more) will use your Wi-Fi and not your allotted data from ATT. It is meticulous though, if you forget to turn it on when you leave your Wi-Fi zone you won't get anything updated!
- Will you get additional charges for using iPhone hotspot? I was looking around threw my settings on my iPhone today and I saw hotspot. So I looked at it and figured it out and everything but my question is if you use the hotspot will you get additional charges? Even if you don't go over your monthy data limit?

- Should I get rid of my iPhone and get a basic phone? I've had an iPhone for 2 years, and my contract runs out 9/2/12, should I get a 4s or a Pantech Jest 2? I want to save my dad money, and all I really use my iPhone for is music and Facebook. My friends say I should stick with my iPhone, but I don't know… Share your input, thanks
