How to get rid of black on WLMM when video is from iphone?

So i make little skits w/ my friends for fun with my ipod touch 5 running ios 6 (it's also jailbroken). And I edit them on windows live movie maker. The problem is that whenever a new scene starts there's a few seconds of black glitches. When i complete the video in 1080p only about half of the glitches go away.

I would like to know how to get rid of them please.

Also don't suggest a new editing thing unless its a completely free super awesome gift from heaven cause i quite like wlmm

And welcome to Y! A Camcorders:

Since no one else has chimed-in to answer the past 24 hours, I figured I'd at least comment on your problem.

First, as many of us on here are prone to say, "we can't see what you see" without a video example to look at. I have no idea what kind of "black glitches" you are getting on your phone's video clips. Do the glitches show up at the beginning of each clip on your phone, or just in MovieMaker?

When I first read your headline for your post, I thought the issue with "get rid of black on… Video from iPhone" would be the usual side-bars ("pillarboxing") from holding your phone in portrait mode rather than landscape. But the black glitches only at the start sound odd.

My best advice, if the glitches consistently show up for several seconds at the beginning of each clip you shoot, would be to do like old-school film directors did at the beginning of a film sequence (when they'd have to wait for the camera and sound recorder motors to "come up to speed") and wait a few seconds after you hit Record (count to 4 or 5) and then call "Action!" for your skit to start.

Then you'll just edit-out the start of each sequence in MovieMaker (cutting out the "Action!" and before), and it should be glitch-free. Otherwise, if glitches still show up, I'd take my problem to the Apple Genius Bar where you could show them first-hand what's happening.

For your existing clips, edit-out as much of the glitched beginning as you can, or re-shoot those skits where you can't salvage the old footage.

Feel free to post a link to a YouTube, Flickr, or Vimeo example of your edited footage (glitches and all) if you can (use the "Additional Details" link on the Edit menu to add to your post) and we might get a better idea of what's causing your problem.

hope this helps,
