How to get these iphone scammers in trouble?
OK so yeah they got me told me about how they buy the phones pay me to buy them and such well thing i didn't know was about the contract i thought i was just there to buy the iPhones cause they get them at a discounted price for new customers well i signed the contract and they paid me $150 dollars i didn't say anything or do anything cause for all i know they could threaten my life i was upset after i figured out what they had done so i did some thinking on how i can get these guys so i thought i can have the phones reported stolen since they are mine get them back sell them myself and pay to get out of the contract with them I'd pay out of the contract now if i had the money! So is that a good idea or should i just report these people to the police for fraud cause what i heard and read upon online is that they don't do much for you if you just report it as a fraud can someone please tell me how i can get out this mess!
I assume that you fell for the same scam as shown in the link. If you gave your ID and your SSN to strangers, then you are screwed. You could just refuse to pay AT&T, which will damage your credit rating. Or you could pay the money, accept the loss, and keep your credit rating intact. But even if you choose to pay up, what is to stop the same people from using your ID and SSN again?
I can't believe that anybody would give up their SSN for $150. Why on earth did you do this?
Note that technically this is not a fraud, because you gave up your SSN willingly. It is as if somebody paid you $150 to write a blank check, then they cleaned out your bank account. Since no law was broken, there's no point in going to the police. The police only prosecute lawbreakers.
- Uh oh i really don't to get in trouble? My dad has an iPhone 5 and he is going to connect it to the computer and i want to know will he get my apps downloaded on there because if he finds out i have instagram it won't be a very good conversation
- Kik? Could I get in trouble? My dad downloaded kik on his iphone for me to use and I get on omegle and find people to talk to. Well if they turn out wanting dirty pictures or you know things in that nature I block them and delete the conversation. I say sorry no I'm not into that kind of stuff, bye. Can I get in trouble for "sexting" or something because they send dirt messages sometimes? I never say anything like that back. Sorry, I didn't mean to put it under this category
- ICloud scammers, scary? About 3 weeks ago I lost my iphone 6s today i have an very old phone sorta like a Nokia 3310 for the moment with a new number. About 3 days ago i've been getting these weird text msg's saying that my iPhone 6s Grey 16gb has been found and could be picked up if i enter my icloud name and password through a link provided in the text. I don't believe it's true but how TF did these creepy scammers get my new numbers? I'm kinda freaking out.
- How to keep scammers away from bidding/buying on ebay? I'm trying to sell an iPhone on eBay. Keep getting scammer bidding or buying the product and not paying for it. They keep asking me for my PayPal email address. I told them to pay it with the Pay Now button, then they never pay or respond. I keep having to open unpaid item case and keep having to relist the phone. How do I keep away these people, so legitimate buyers can bid on it?
