How to let only my iPhone to receive my text messages?
So my iPhone, and my sister's iPad both share the same Apple ID. Today she told me she got my group message with me and my friends while we were texting each other. I can't remember if I was on iMessage or not. The question is how do I get my sister to not receive my texts from me and my contacts on my iPhone to her iPad, whether or not it is normal texting or iMessage.
Texts won't go through into iPhones. You can tell if you were on iMessage or not by seeing if the messages you sent are in a blue text bubble (iMessage) or a green one (texting). If you send a message to an iPad, I'm pretty sure it automatically becomes iMessage. Even if you tried to send a text message to it, it wouldn't deliver the message.
- Will a person receive text messages on iPhone once they power phone back on? When I text a friend of mine, sometimes their texts show up green when I text him (we both have iPhones and messages are normally blue)… Once their phone gets powered back on will the text messages I send when the phone is off b received once the phone is turned back on?
- Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- My New iPhone 4 won't send or receive text messages? I have checked the service centre number which is correct, I have updated the ios software thing (I'm not too clever with Apple products but yes it's been updated). It says iMessage is waiting for activation but it has said this for ages now. I have tried absolutely everything with still nothing. I can make calls, use the internet, I can do everything else! I just can't send or receive text messages… Will someone please help me?
